Mark was very helpful during the booking process and before our stay. Only a few minor issues. Some renovation was going on so there was some noise and unsightly areas. Only the very basics were provided, like one towel per person and there was only 2 of us. There is a fire station nearby that can be annoying. Unit needed a few more window treatments for better privacy. The location is great. Walking distance to everything you need.

Mark’s little cottage was perfect for our stay in Charleston. I liked how upfront all the materials were about what would be available so we could plan ahead of time and bring what we might need. The space itself is small as he said, but the high ceilings and little touches keep it from feeling cramped — it’s truly cozy. When we rented a small space, we thought oh, we won’t be here that often — especially since the neighborhood is full of great restaurants, cafes, and bars — but we ended up staying in some nights, just relaxing on the little patio or inside. The shower temperature and pressure was nice, the A/C worked well, and the wifi was speedy. The space was very clean. The only hiccup was that a guest had left behind a few things which surprised me a little, but Mark was there right away, picked the items up, and was so welcoming. He gave us great recommendations for things to do in the area. We hope the cottage will be available the next time we come to Charleston!

Cozy little spot in a fantastic location – perfect for exploring Charleston for a few days. Lots of great eateries and bars within walking distance, and a cafe right out front for your morning coffee. Beautiful back yard to relax in. Recommended!

Fantastic place. Actually much bigger than you can tell from the pictures. It is so close to all the restaurants and the walking area. We had a wonderful time.

The space was clean, well appointed, and in a great location. Beds were comfy, the rooftop was fabulous and the central location made getting into and around Charleston a breeze. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others.

Cannot say enough about this location!! The area was absolutely perfect – close to King Street and downtown and the actual neighborhood was also superb. The unit was very clean and, though small, serviced most of our needs. Some odd things – we were only allotted two rolls of toilet paper, which seemed unnecessarily stingy. The checkout process was in no way clear (though checkin was), and the unit appeared to have no recycling, which really bothered me. The host was not present, which was fine for the most part, but some simple housekeeping things (like where to take the trash) needed to have been more clearly detailed. Overall, this was a great experience and we would stay here again, but some communication issues should be cleared up.

Marks place was clean, well kept, cozy and welcoming. It had all the basics for a long weekend get away. The size of the cottage was just as described. Mark was helpful and quick to respond when we a had question. The perfect location to King Street and the heart of Charleston- all in walking distance. We will definitely be back!!

This was my first Airbnb experience and I loved it! The Elliotborough/Cannonborough neighborhood in Charleston is wonderful. I will definitely book again!! The walking distance from the central hub of downtown is around 25 minutes but to be honest one could make an entire trip staying just in the neighborhood, Mark’s properties are located in. I only moved my car once to drive over to Mount Pleasant. We were able to walk everywhere else. There are amazing restaurants and eateries just a few blocks a way on Spring Street. If you haven’t guessed I am pretty passionate about food and so this rental was the perfect fit for me. Mark as a host, promptly responded and made check in and check out extremely smooth. He has literally thought of everything! We also ran into each other at the bakery next door and he was super nice, very friendly, laid back and welcoming. This property has a lovely backyard, which my pup greatly approved of. The banana trees are super cute and pepper the perimeter of the outdoor space. We loved it!

This is a very well-kept, historic unit. Very functional and, though not immediately downtown, it is well-situated to explore. We explored a majority of Charleston on foot, but the free circulator bus is just down the street, so you easily can cut down on walking, if you wish. There is a bit of noise nearby, particularly in the morning, but if one is used to “city living”, that’s not a big concern. Definitely a place you’d want to stay!

Mark was very responsive to all inquiries and sent a lovely welcome packet by email about nearby restaurants/coffee shops and attractions. This is a great location and was perfect for us to get to and make quick pit stops to change clothes/charge phones during the day. It is a great spot to stay if you are the kind of travelers who do not spend a lot of time in hotel rooms during a city visit. This is a first floor apartment, and we never felt unsafe in the area, though there is not much light when entering alley way and opening the door at night. Overall a wonderful stay, thanks so much!

This was a great little place in an awesome location – very walkable to restaurants and shops on King St and we had breakfast from the pastry shop EVERY morning, it was amazing. House itself was well cared for and had everything we needed. Thanks!

Andrew was great! He responded to us within an hour of getting our messages and overall did everything in his power to make our stay wonderful. Upon booking we received a detailed packet of the amenities, area and getting around Charleston. The cottage is perfect if you’re in Charleston to explore and just need a home base close to downtown at an affordable price. Although its cozy the high ceilings and chandelier really make it feel airy. The shower is great and clean, the bed is comfy and you’re a short walk from all the bars on Upper King.

We had little communication with our host. We were provided with the key code to get in within the time frame that was promised. Everything was fine and we had no reason to contact him. The neighborhood was great. Coffee shops, restaurants and bakeries all within walking distance. We could also walk to the car rental place easily and catch a trolley if needed.

We wanted to be near the King Street area as we were in town for a wedding. This location was great and we walked a lot of times to our destinations. There were plenty of restaurants and clubs nearby that were also walkable. Our house was off street also which cut down on street traffic noise.

We had a great time in our visit to Charleston. In the pictures, it looks as if one bedroom has a smaller trundle bed, but all 3 bedrooms have queen beds, and we felt the space was actually bigger than the pictures made it seem. The ONLY negative of the entire weekend was the limited wifi, we couldn’t use it for remote work (emails, shared docs, etc). Otherwise, the experience was fantastic. We walked everywhere we needed to be, the space was clean and comfortable, the coffee shop below was great, overall we loved everything (except the one) and would definitely come back to stay again.

Beautifully updated space. Very clean and comfortable. A little outside main historic area but we walked everywhere and loved it! Wonderful to have parking and very convenient to get out of town to beaches. We would definitely return and recommend this unit.

Andrew was very quick to respond to my questions about the neighborhood, restaurants and specifics about the house. The neighborhood is an eclectic mix of college students, homeowners and short term renters like ourselves. The college students were quiet and respectful of others even on weekend nights! Great restaurants are within walking distance of the home…..Hominy Grill, R Kitchen, Five loaves Cafe………shopping on King Street is a few blocks away…….ideal location!

Great place. Loved it. Would definitely stay again. Good location and easy and inexpensive to get anywhere via Uber from the apartment. Cute courtyard area. Good restaurants and small grocery stores nearby. This area is revitalizing, so there is some construction, but it did not pose a problem at all. Would also be interested in seeing some of the larger options in case we want to come back with friends!

Great location, an easy 30 minutes or less walk to anywhere you could possibly want. However, this stay was a lot different than many of my previous airbnb stays. There were none of the usual personal touches and be prepared for a list of things that are limited and prohibited (limited toilet paper/paper towles, extra fees if bath towles are used at the beach.) Also, extra linens and towles will only be provided for an extra fee. A slight musky smell did great us on arrival (a result of the humidity) but this was easily resolved with turning the air unit down. Overall, this place served it’s purpose well enough, but would recommend more for a short stay over an extended one.

Fantastic location – close to great restaurants and just a quick Lyft ride to downtown. It was very cozy – the perfect hide away after long days of work. I will come back with my husband as I can see it would be the perfect getaway spot for a long weekend!

The place was really lovely, exactly like the pictures. We were a group of 6 women celebrating a special birthday.. so we enjoyed being able to sit in the living room or in the dining room and chat. The beds were very comfortable. There were only 1 issues the plumbing in one of the showers was reversed, hot was cold, cold was hot and we didnt realize it so some of us took cold showers day one.. when we called, it was explained and we were told it would be fixed after we left. It would have been helpful if they told us that up front. Other than that, it was great. We could walk to some restaurants and it was really convenient to all major roads etc. Lovely home. would highly recommend it.

Overall a good place to stay while visiting Historic Charleston. We had 4 adults in our group, and everyone was comfortable. AC worked well, which we all appreciated. And the proximity of the bakery next door made breakfast a snap.

My wife and I loved the convenience of staying in Mark’s cottage on Spring Street during our vacation in Charleston. The location was great, offering easy access to most areas of the city without being constantly subjected to the crush of lower King Street. Everything was clean and well-prepared for our stay, and the self check-in/check-out made planning much easier. We would certainly stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at Karples View. Great location for Charleston it was a quick walk to bars and restaurants on King Street. The place is even nicer than the pictures. Had concern so I called and Mark answered immediately. Highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a place to stay in Charleston.

After arriving and unloading vehicle, Mark arrived and introduced himself. He was very informative and gave history of house and neighborhood. Very pleasant and attentive in answering initial questions since it was Our 1st trip to the city…..Thanks Marc. The apartment was described accurately and had many wonderful characteristics of a 125 year old house. Definitely Reccommend .

This was a great place to stay and excellent value. It’s a cool set of places that have been renovated. The house has everything you need and is located in a cool up and coming neighborhood. It’s walking distance to the heart of downtown plus the trolley comes right down the street. We were in Charleston to see the town, eat the food, and experience the culture. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the house, but it is well appointed.

This was a great place for us to use as a home base as we explored beautiful Charleston. The listing was extremely accurate – if anything, the apartment was even bigger than it looked from photos. We appreciated having 2 large bathrooms (plus a small half bathroom) so all the ladies had more than enough space to get ready. We mistakenly thought there was no hot water in one shower and the host immediately checked it out and responded to us. The location was perfect for being able to walk to restaurants/bars on King Street. Check-in and check-out were extremely easy. Would recommend this place without hesitation to groups.

Mark and Andrew did so much to help us during our stay. We originally had an issue getting into the unit but as Andrew showed us the error of our ways, we were quickly in and settled. We were within driving distance of downtown Charleston and from there were did much of the walking.

I was in town for a conference and was glad to find Small’s Alley in such a convenient location that was not too far off the beaten path and still very lively. The apartment was very comfortable and relaxing. Can’t wait to visit Charleston for non-work reasons.

The Karples View apartment was the perfect way to experience Charleston. Great for a couple traveling together, this clean, spacious, amenity-filled apartment was fantastic for me and my wife to come back to at the end of a long day of sightseeing and sampling the local cuisine (which is amazing). Located just a few blocks from King Street, everything you could possibly want is within walking distance. I would highly recommend this listing and feel confident that Mark’s other listings are amazing as well.

Overall our stay at 65A Smalls Alley was good and the property was as described in the listing. The location is great for walking around downtown and it’s close to many fantastic restaurants. One issue that we had during the first night of our stay was a moldy/musty smell coming from the wall AC unit, but help was sent right away to fix the situation and the unit was cleaned so that by night #2 the smell was mostly gone. Mark and his team were very communicative and helpful throughout our stay.

Mark and his son were very hospitable and their property was clean and cozy. We loved our stay at this tiny Charleston cottage. The modern renovations mixed with vintage charm set a cozy, picturesque backdrop for our visit. The bed was very comfortable, the unit was clean and the door code system allowed us flexibility with check-in and out. The high ceilings and pretty chandelier made the space feel airy despite the tiny footprint. We also really loved the neighborhood, with a nearby hidden restaurant called Chez Nous being one of the highlights of our trip. The host also sent a thorough pdf with neighborhood information that helped us feel like locals.

The location of this cozy apartment cannot be beat! It’s walking distance to many of the places that you’ll want to see in the city. The only issue we had was that the wifi signal was very weak, I’m sure Mark will look into this.

What Sarah loved about your listing:
I loved the location of this place.

What Sarah thought you could improve about the experience:
The wifi didn’t work for us, which was problematic. It might be nice if body wash is provided in the future, as most people only carry shampoo/conditioner with them.

 Amenities feedback:
Wifi didn’t work for us.

The apartment is very nice, clean, modern and beautifully furnished. It is within walking distance of several good restaurants and just a few blocks walk to King St. Mark was very professional and easy to work with.

What Barbara thought you could improve about the experience:

The Location was great. The apartment is right in downtown Charleston’s Elliotborough neighborhood. There are great Restaurants all around and it is easily walkable to the rest of downtown. Having stayed in a few Airbnb’s in the past this was much more like a hotel than any Airbnb I have experienced. The apartment is the bottom apartment and it looks like a garage and kind of feels like a garage. We never met our host but he was very accommodating via text messages and email. Mark had a great packet of things to do and great a list restaurants that we found very helpful. All-in-all the place was nice and I would consider staying there again based on location and privacy.

What Geoffrey loved about your listing:
Great Location Very private

What Geoffrey thought you could improve about the experience:
The description was a little misleading that it is the basement apartment. We enjoyed our stay, but the apartment in particular lacked personality. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your apartment.

Although we never met our host Mark, he was a pleasure to deal with – he replied to emails instantly, answered questions truthfully and even provided a lovely guide to Charleston for us to print out. The accommodations were very tiny (we knew that when we rented) but quite cozy. The bed was SO comfortable with really soft linens and quilts, and it was very quiet at night so my husband and I slept well. We had a rental car so having a parking spot was a big plus. Location was very good — nice neighborhood walkable to lots of places to eat including the famous Hominy Grill just around the corner, and a short ride to downtown. The yard out back would be a nice place to eat a takeout lunch but it was cold during our visit. This was a very satisfactory place for a four-day get away for one or two persons. It is probably important to note for some folks, that the super-comfy bed, is not very large (a double, not a queen) so might not be good for a very large gentleman or those who need a lot of room in bed but it was fine for us. Only other drawback – I probably would not recommend for a long stay due to size, no closet or much space to put away clothes or layout toiletries but for a short stay it was just great …clean, comfy, cozy and well-located.

What Beth loved about your listing:
We loved the bed! Although smaller than our bed at home, the mattress and linens were so comfortable. Loved to go back to the cottage and sink in under the covers at night!

A clean space in a wonderful location. WildFlour Pastry, right next door, was a group favorite as were Artisan Meat Share, just a block up the street, and Apartment A Nachos & Tamales, just around the corner. Mark was a timely and clear communicator and we had no trouble finding or getting into the house. The only things that might not make the space for everyone are that it is not in the heart of the touristy district (a bonus, in my opinion) and that it appears to be run by a property management firm, as opposed to what I think of as the more typical Airbnb experience, where you’re staying in a space that the property owner lives at/near, maintains him/herself, and operates as a hobby or side gig as opposed to doing so for a living. For that reason it doesn’t have the same feeling of warmth and welcome as some Airbnb’s but if you are looking for something clean, comfortable, and in an incredible off-the-beaten-path location, look no further.

The house was beautifully furnished and in a fun, funky neighborhood. We enjoyed eating out at some of the restaurants in the neighborhood, and it was easy to walk from the house to public trolley transport. A highlight for my kids was eating muffins from the local bakery, Wild Flour. Mark, our host, provided some good advice on where to go and what to see.

What Sarah loved about your listing:
I loved the furnishings in the house which added to the experience of delving into Charleston’s history. The house was large enough to accommodate our party of seven people.

What Sarah thought you could improve about the experience:
The kitchen was missing a few items that would be inexpensive to purchase and would greatly enhance a visit: a colander, salad bowl, and a frying pan with a handle. Also you might include an inexpensive seventh chair in the dining room for groups of seven.

 Arrival feedback:
My in-laws didn’t have the right code to access the apartment, but Mark quickly stepped in to help them.

We traveled to Charleston with 2 other couples and found this residence to be perfect for us! The location is great – just a few minutes walk to King Street and with several other local spots nearby. The bedrooms were all spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable! The fans in the room were also appreciated. The kitchen was a nice size – we brought some of our own food that had been prepped beforehand, but the counter space allowed for easy final assembly. I’d say the only downside is the living room space was a bit tight to fit all six of us with the chairs provided, but it was definitely not a deal breaker. Also, we had a bit of trouble with the door lock system upon arrival, but Mark was quick to answer his phone (at 10:30 pm) and help us get inside, which we really appreciated. Other than that, no problems, and we would go back!

What Courtney loved about your listing:
Everything was quite comfortable! We appreciated your quick response to our late night inquiry about getting inside. It was a perfect spot for us!

Robin

We had a great time at 69A Elliott House! Beds were SUPER comfortable and the three bedrooms made it very spacious for our group. We found it to be well situated to a lot of our dining choices on King Street – and we LOVED the coffee and danish place next door! Highly recommend!

What Robin loved about your listing:
Super cute and comfy but there were a few things that could be improved on. Porch was nice to sit out on!

What Robin thought you could improve about the experience:
Toilet in downstairs bath has too short of a chain in the tank so it gets hung up a lot and won’t flush. Many lightbulbs were burned out. Another nightstand and bedside lamp in downstairs bedroom would be nice so both people can read. More chairs in main room. But, you probably rent it fine without ANY of this stuff but at least the toilet and the bulbs!

 Amenities feedback:
More lamps, more dishes. You DO have coffee there. MORE DISH TOWELS, you only have one!

 Value feedback:
Just add more amenities.

We enjoyed our stay at Mark’s unit. The apartment was clean and as described there were dishes and a small kitchen for us to use, which was very helpful for us to make breakfast in the mornings. We did have some trouble with the door lock when we arrived, but Mark was available when we called and helped us sort everything out in very short order. As mentioned, there was a trolley that we saw driving in the area, but we chose to walk every where; it was great to park our car for the weekend and not use it again until we left town.

Charleston is a beautiful city and Mark has created a unique “compound” of adjacent and nearby properties. I have to compliment him for his communication and kind help prior to our arrival. Our stay was in one of his ‘historic’ homes and, as one might expect, there were lots of quirks (some might call them charms). The issues we didn’t expect and feel others may want to know about are 1) the bathroom is located away from the bedrooms so if you get up at night it can be a bit hazardous to walk through the living room and small eating area and kitchen and laundry area to get to it, 2) it was warm during our stay and the air conditioning was locked and couldn’t be set below a certain temperature… the temp was fine but we couldn’t get the humidity out of the air, 3) the kitchen table was useless as the floor is slanted and then the table tilts even more! The location is good because it’s a short walk to upper King Street, however this is where the college kids stay so it can be loud at night and we encountered two people asking for money during our first night’s walk over. Seemed safe enough for the transit, but it wasn’t a neighborhood we felt like we wanted to explore. There’s off-street parking for Mark’s properties which is great.

A nice little room in a great part of town. A little expensive for what you get. Bring extra towels if you stay for more than a night as the host only provides one for your entire stay.

Mark was helpful with a great city guide that he put together. The Elliot House is in a great location, clean and well kept. It was the perfect fit for my family’s Thanksgiving get away. We will be back again in the future.

What Devin loved about your listing:
We loved the location. Hip area with great restaurants and night life. Five Loaves restaurant is a must stop for healthy and delicious viddles.

What Devin thought you could improve about the experience:
An additional chair in the living area would be nice for groups of 6 so all can sit together in the living room. The lighting in the living room and kitchen could be improved. Minor stuff.

 Arrival feedback:
Additional parking pass not in room as was told it would be.

Our place was perfect – small & quaint, but just what we needed and in the perfect location. The backyard is definitely the best part – but we didn’t get to enjoy it due to the rain. There are a lot of good spots in walking distance and its easy to get an Uber if you need to go further. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Charleston.

What Melissa loved about your listing:
The location and the backyard area.

What Melissa thought you could improve about the experience:
The only complaint I have is that the Dial hand soap at the bathroom sink was water down. Other than that, everything was great!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very close to all of the nightlife on Upper King and isn’t too far of a walk to the sights of downtown Charleston. The weather was unseasonably hot so the unit did get a little warm, but it was probably due to our inability to get the ac unit to stay on. The apartment is perfect for two! We hope to return in the near future. Thank you!

The cottage was very cute, and had lots of nice character, including a little chandelier. It was located in a lovely backyard with lush banana trees. It was well-cleaned and perfect for what I was looking for. Mark was responded quickly to all of my questions.

Mark was great with communication – he emailed us before we arrived with all the details and also a local guide. Easy self check-in and out in a great location. Perfect base for exploring Charleston and other surrounding islands. There are some great eateries within very close proximity. Really useful having the car parking space as quite difficult to find parking in Charleston. As others and description have said, it’s very small – basically a hotel room – and personally I think great for a long weekend but we found it quite small and restrictive for 5 days. There is a fridge and some cutlery but no plates/bowls or cups which would have been appreciated to make a cup of tea or coffee. Overall a great place but a little worn around the edges – i.e broken blinds, very noisy AC. That said, would definitely recommend for a 2-3 night stay.

I had expected some kind of welcome gift-something that represented Charleston. A lovely magnolia on the table, for example. There was a laminated list of strict rules instead. My parents arrived first at the house and I received a text from them that the neighborhood was clearly the rundown area of the city. I was disappointed to not know that I was near North King Street, as opposed to somewhere lower, closer to the nice part of town. I feel the neighborhood I stayed in is 3 or 4 years away of being spectacular. This should be noted and priced accordingly. The historic alley is where the college kids live, hence the noise we heard Saturday night. The jack hammer directly outside our door started on Tuesday morning and was completely unbearable. I will say that upon walking the neighborhood, we would come upon a lovely restaurant or shop that seemed out of place. But it was a relief to the unpleasant surroundings. In additon, I had told Mark that we’d have a dog with us, and there was no nice park to walk her, sadly. My parents are elderly and the far walks to the tour, the museum, the good restaurants, the good shopping, became tiresome for them. I don’t think this area and this house is for a first time Charleston visitor.

    Mark

    Response from Mark:
Kelly, I am proud to work and live in Elliotborough this is a great locals area of downtown Charleston and from the 100’s of reviews on all my property’s everyone is pleased with the location, prices and the benefits of being a few steps away from the tourist areas. Thanks for your review, Mark

We enjoyed the carriage house – it was clean, charming, and well-appointed. It had a lot of character and it was more fun to stay here for a long girls’ weekend than in a hotel. The pictures in the listing provide an accurate representation of the property. The directions & instructions provided were clear and accurate, and the property website contained helpful information. (e.g., the free trolley) As noted on the site, there is a free trolley line very close by. I would recommend using the trolley if you have trouble walking long distances. If walking is not a concern, I would recommend walking from the house to the shopping area (King St.) on foot – there are lots of interesting stores and restaurants to discover along the way. Mark was very responsive to our concerns during the heavy rains/flooding in early October.

This was a great quick stay. Ease of getting in and out. Perfect location for us. Close to great restaurants.off street parking is key, thank goodness they provided it. Rooms were small but relative to the cost we paid. Bathroom was tight, but served its purpose. Wish the tv ‘arm’ stretched to watch tv in bed. Good stay.

This is a self checkin room, but this was communicated up front and everything when smoothly. Mark communicated thoroughly. One note the carriage house could be difficult for some to located. We had to circle the street several times to locate the access driveway. The carriage house is located behind the front house. Please be aware the parking is extremely tight for two large cars would represent a challenge. Also we had the downstairs unit and could hear the activities of the upstairs guest. On the plus side the unit was clean and had a good layout. This transition neighborhood location is very good with easy access to King Street and the core of Charleston.

    Mark

    Response from Mark:
Jeff I’m glad you had a wonderful time and the great review. In both the Confirmation and Welcome email there is a link to the location, it is very important to review these prior to leaving home to become familiar because several units are not on the street but interior addresses. Please come visit again! Mark

What Jeff loved about your listing:
    Location

What Jeff thought you could improve about the experience:
Provide better access directions and control the size of the cars parking in this extremely tight area. We had a stretch pickup that blocked our egress.

     Accuracy feedback:
Be clear that the downstairs unit will hear noise from the upstairs unit.

Smalls Alley was a great place to stay. The studio apartment was clean and was just as described. It is only a short walk away from King Street and many of the downtown attractions. We loved the fact that there was parking included. One thing to know though is that the parking space is small and when two cars try to park in the area it can be a pretty tight squeeze. I would suggestion driving a smaller car if possible. We also enjoyed the DVD player and internet access for late night movies. Mark was a great host. He responded quickly to emails and was very helpful. I would recommend the place to anyone.

What Cassondra loved about your listing:
I loved the location and that there was parking. I appreciated the dvd player for late night movies. I noticed that the picture in the bathroom was for October and thought that is was cute that it matched the month. Thanks for being so quick to respond to our questions and help with issues that came up.

What Cassondra thought you could improve about the experience:
You might want to warn people about the small parking. The other car that was parking there was a rather large truck. This made it difficult and sometimes impossible to park. We had to go and ask the owner of the truck to re-park the truck so that there was room for both vehicles. Also the internet never really seemed to work on the smalls alley network. We could never pull up actual apartments network and other only other option you sent us was so week that it wasn’t worth logging into. I was able to use the xfinity hotspot which had great signal (the best on the list). You may want to check into that for those guest you don’t have xfinity credentials.

     Accuracy feedback:
It would have been useful to know about the small driveway.

We loved everything about our stay – the cottage is quaint and just as Mark described; the location is ideal, as some of the city’s best restaurants are walking distance away; the Sunday cinnamon rolls at Wildflower Pastry next door are worth the trip alone; and the free trolley stops nearby and takes you south to the tourist sites. I definitely recommend staying at Mark’s if you need a perfect home away from home in Charleston!

What Amanda thought you could improve about the experience:
Mark, it took us a day to realize that the “cool” function on the air conditioning did not remove the humidity from the air. You have to switch it to “dry” mode. That would be helpful to future guests, as I’d never encountered that before! Otherwise, a perfect visit. Thank you!

The unit is in great condition, clean, and close to the King St which is the major street with shops. There is also a coffee shop, taco joint, crepe place 1 street away, and an excellent breakfast place called Hominy Grill which is 5 mins away. In the unit there is a bedroom & bathroom on the first floor, and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Keyless entry allows everyone in the group to enter & exit without worrying about who has the key. For this unit, the bedroom on the first floor is next to the street so it will be a bit noisier at night. Mark was out of town, but called to check if everything was ok.

What George loved about your listing:
Good location, clean unit, and spacious.

What George thought you could improve about the experience:
Luckily we arrived to the unit a little early and the cleaning people let us in. It took us a little bit to figure out that the code you gave us was wrong. The cleaner doesn’t speak english, but again we were lucky that her child was able to translate for us and give us the new code. In the future, if you’re going to be out of town or without cell reception please make sure that you designate someone who is “on-call”. Otherwise, a good experience.

We enjoyed our stay at 79B Victorian Garden Apt 2. It was easy to check in using the key code Mark provided. The apartment was clean and in decent shape, the beds were very comfortable, the linens were nice and fresh, and everything in the kitchen worked reasonably well. This is a historic property, so be prepared for the quirks of an old house. But we loved the proximity to everything we wanted to do in Charleston, and to the excellent restaurants and cafés of the neighborhood. We would recommend the place to friends.

This place was great. The listing was a perfect representation of the house. We wound up staying during the hurricane and flooding, but this house was HQ for our group. We didn’t have a chance to explore and walk around as much as we’d like, but there seemed to be plenty around this house a few blocks away. Most smaller restaurants and shops were closed due to the weather, but there were plenty of food options within a block or two and the main strips were a close walk. Mark was awesome as well. Very responsive and helpful. The original reservation papers noted 67 as the house number when it was actually 69, but that was the only hiccup, and a very minor one. Highly recommend!

What Nathan loved about your listing:
The keypad was great. I could easily distribute to everyone in our group and we didn’t have to worry about losing keys.

What Nathan thought you could improve about the experience:

Never saw or talked with host as he was out of town. Easy to follow instructions got us parked on the property and into the little room. My wife and I enjoyed the three day stay. We never moved the car. Great places to eat and several bars within five minutes walk. Downtown and waterfront no more than 20 minutes. Great location made up for the small size of the accomadation. Little patio in the private back yard was great for a cocktail in the late afternoon. We would return again and would like to meet Mark. Sam and Kim Smith

A great house in a great location. We walked everywhere, and we found some fabulous restaurants very close. There was some street noise from the neighbors at night… future renters might want to put light sleepers in the interior bedroom.

      Shanley

Mark was a great host. The listing was exactly as presented online. The neighborhood was great and very convenient for being close to the downtown area. There were some great restaurants within a block or two and even more about a 10 – 15 minute walk. Mark even gave us some personal recommendations which were awesome and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place and Mark!

What Shanley loved about your listing:
      convenient, great porch, very clean

What Shanley thought you could improve about the experience:
the only one minor thing I can say is we couldn’t figure out how to adjust the thermostat to make it a little warmer. But I never reached out about it and I’d much rather be a little chilly than sweating! So no real improvements necessary.

       Communication feedback:
I reached out via Airbnb a few weeks before the stay and didn’t hear back, but once I called Mark everything was great. I think maybe he was getting my notes on Airbnb.

      Carla

I have very high expectations on where I stay. I specifically use airbnb because I hate hotels. I felt as those the apartment could use some sprucing up. The couch is a mess. It was dirty and if two people sit on it and one gets up the other side moves like a see saw. The walls were repaired in the bathroom and had not been painted where repaired and the same thing by the door to enter the bathroom. It could really use some sprucing up. This felt like a college dorm rather than a place where I want to stay with my husband. Also the driveway is very narrow and you may want to let people know ahead of time. In our case we had a very big vehicle and it was difficult getting in and out of the driveway.

      Mark

      Response from Mark:
I don’t really know how to respond since all my other reviews give it high marks, the couch is new this season. I take all my customer comments serious and will go through the unit and make sure its up to standard. Lets also mention that it rained the quite a lot this weekend which may have made your trip gloomy. Thanks, Mark

What Carla loved about your listing:
Hi Mark, I really loved the fact that the unit was so close to the heart of Charleston. We walked everywhere and that was really important to me and my husband.

We came down for a long weekend, and this spot was perfect. Great loft apartment in an up and coming neighborhood very close to upper King Street. There are a number of great restaurants, bars and bakeries close by, and we walked most of the weekend – even to the heart of the city. Apartment was very clean, as advertised. Very quiet spot, we felt comfortable and safe in the neighborhood walking around at night.

What Deb loved about your listing:

Mark greeted me at the door and gave some good recommendations for the neighborhood. The house was furnished well and the beds were very comfortable. It was a nice place to operate out of when visiting the area, with many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Close to the bridge/highway exits also.

We are so glad our daughter found this house for us. It was accurately described in the details and more. A very comfortable house, beds etc. After a few minor housekeeping issues they were seen to straightaway. Mark was a very friendly host and had time for us. It was the perfect house for our wedding party. The location was great too.

Great house in a quiet neighborhood. Close enough to walk to main tourist neighborhoods, without having to deal with crowds/noise “at home”, and great off-street parking. Worked well for a two couple weekend.

Sarah

Mark was helpful both before and after our arrival. 67B was a great space for our family vacation (3 people + 1 dog) with 2 spacious bedrooms and a very nice kitchen. There are quite a few restaurants of different cuisines in the neighborhood, and we particularly enjoyed the Taco Spot just around the corner. People in the neighborhood also seemed to be quite friendly. Downtown is easily accessible by walking or trolley, and the HSA private, off-street parking afforded us the added ability to drive to more distant attractions without having to worry about parking.

Nicky

Mark was very attentive with emails and gave detailed information prior to arriving. Once we arrived, the room was clean, cozy, cool (temperature wise – which is a much needed reprieve in the heat) and just as it looked in photos. It’s small but absolutely perfect for two people. The number keypad lock was really easy and I love not having to carry a key/keycard around. The parking spot is a great bonus especially because parking in town can be difficult. The area itself reminds me of Brooklyn with cool hidden gems in every corner on Rutledge, Cannon and King. Downtown and the Historic District is a quick drive away as well as all beaches. Staying here is a great alternative to a hotel especially if you want a feel for the neighborhood and living in Charleston. We didn’t have to contact Mark with any issues because there were none. Would stay here again!

Ilana

Mark’s place was perfect for a long weekend getaway! It was clean, quiet, and very conveniently located. Any restaurant/activity that we wanted to experience was only a short drive or walk away! I will second others’ feedback about parking being somewhat difficult to find when one first arrives, even with the map that Mark thoughtfully included in his communications. I would also recommend that you come in a small car if you plan to park in the small lot directly in front of the unit, as it was a bit stressful to back our SUV out of the narrow alley and into the street (however, we later learned that there is additional free parking right near the bakery next door, which was much roomier!). Overall, we had a wonderful time in Mark’s place and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Caitlin

Karples View 65B is a clean and stylish apartment. We loved the comfortable furniture, bright windows, and well stocked kitchen. It is conveniently located near a free trolley stop, which can easily be taken into the shopping district. Having a private parking lot was great, too. The only downsides were that the neighborhood did seem slightly run down, the water pressure in the shower is not great, and unfortunately the washing machine was out of commission during our stay. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay!

Alberto
Alberto

I was not able to meet the host, but the keypad on the door made it easy to get in at check-in time. The place is just as advertised. The room is more than comfortable for one person, it looks like it would be for two people as well. The weather was really hot and humid for Charleston, and the A/C in the unit worked without a hitch, which was great after coming back to the room. The location has several businesses and restaurants around, and it is walking distance from Charleston attractions. The pastry/coffee shop on the street next to the room provided breakfast and coffee every day. This was a nice place to stay in, and I would stay here again.

Mark met us at check-in and had a few tips on places to visit while we were in town. The place was very nice and clean (the pictures are very accurate). It was very nice to have two bedrooms as well as a kitchen. The King Street attractions were a short walk and the place itself is in a trendy neighborhood with lots of good places to eat.

Teresa

The studio apartment at 65B Spring Street was exactly as described and pictured. It was comfortable, clean, convenient and quiet with easy access (10-15 minute walk) to great food and the “happening” area of Charleston. I did not meet Mark in person, but he supplied me with everything I needed for a great stay. I would recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a nice place a little off the beaten path with ample space and pet friendly (although we left ours behind due to the heat this trip). Thanks, Mark!

Mark was extremely helpful leading up to the trip, proactively sending us well-organized lists of things to do in Charleston, which saved me a lot of time looking! The place itself was PERFECT for our needs: a comfortable place to sleep at night, with easy access coming and going, and most importantly… in a GREAT neighborhood. If you’re a couple (or a single) looking for a great spot to crash while exploring Charleston, this is a great option. Book it!

This house was exactly what we were looking for. We did a girls weekend stay here and it was perfect. The house was large and plenty of space for the 7 of us. Looks just like the photo! A virtual “tiny house” with an incredible pastry shop next door. I was a bit hesitant when driving through the neighborhood at first, but Mark reassured me that there are a lot of locals and students in the area. True. And, some of the best restaurants too. We stayed for a week and the area was a great base to explore Charleston and the outskirts & islands and come back and know that you have a parking space which can be both difficult and expensive to get. A really nice airbnb experience all around.

We stayed at 75C Garden Gates over a long weekend in Charleston and enjoyed our visit. Mark wasn’t available to welcome us so we familiarized ourselves with the apartment but seeing as this is a small unit, it wasn’t much of an issue outside of one cold shower due to the hot and cold handles being reversed. The apartment was well appointed and looks even better in person than in the pictures. The positives – comfortable bed, good shower and convenient to have parking. The negatives – terrible wifi, no A/C in the bedroom, thin walls with the house above the unit and a general transactional feel to the visit. Other places often have the little things that make a stay more convenient – beach towels/chairs, laundry detergent, bottles of water or even shampoo and conditioner. Instead you are greeted by a long list of items you do not receive at 75C Garden Gates and prices for removal of any items ($15 if you use a bath towel at the beach, $10 if you forget to leave the parking pass, additional cleaning charges if you don’t take out the trash or leave any dishes, etc). This is not to say I wouldn’t recommend this place to certain guests – the location is great, the apartment is all you need for a short stay and the price wasn’t bad for Charleston, just don’t expect the little trimmings that make a stay more pleasant.

The property description was accurate and we loved the location. It was walking distance to most of the restaurants, galleries and neighborhoods we wanted to explore. We had rented a car, and parking would probably have been a problem without access to the rental’s parking facilities. This is a “self check in / self check out” arrangement, which suited us fine. Would not hesitate to stay here again if we’re back in Charleston.

The apartment was immaculate! Small space, but perfectly arranged so we felt comfortable and happy for the conveniences. So much nicer than a hotel room. A fantastic bakery only 2 doors away and several nice restaurants within 3 blocks. Mark stopped by just to make sure we were good – so nice!

Unit 75D was absolutely delightful. The location could not have been more perfect, it was quiet enough to appreciate the tranquil views Charleston has to offer, while close enough to everything that we never used the car for the entire stay. The private alley parking was quite safe and convenient. The size of the unit was absolutely perfect for two people, especially since we wanted to spend most of the time walking around the city. Mark could not have been a more gracious host, his guide to the city proved extremely useful, and when we had a very minor problem with the lights due to storm he came out on a Sunday night to fix everything. If I ever come back to Charleston this is definitely where I will look to stay first.

This was our second stay at a location Mark manages, and we were not disappointed. The cottage was well tailored for the long weekend. We even encountered Mark while he was administering to another property he manages in the neighborhood. He personally encouraged us to contact him for any support we might need. The location was ideal — we could walk anywhere downtown, and numerous dining and lounge locations were situated within blocks. (We definitely recommend Wildflower Pastry for breakfast, which is adjacent to the entrance of the driveway — the smell of baked goods enchants the entire alley.) We felt a special fondness for the courtyard, where I actually proposed to my partner in the starlight. We definitely will return to one of Mark’s properties for our next visit.

The apartment was lovely and the photos were accurate. It’s a small but cozy place that’s good for a couple and the outdoor space is wonderful for an afternoon glass of wine. Mark was very helpful – sharing materials ahead of time to acquaint ourselves – and stopping by when we reported a minor inconvenience. The neighborhood is on the edge of gentrification but we felt very safe and comfortable. We would definitely recommend!

  • Everything about this place is amazing! Are you looking to feel like local in the city? This lil one bedroom is perfect for the person looking to wake up and seize the city. Great location next to king street. I loved waking up and going to wild flower bakery next door for coffee. Next time I will be renting a 3 bedroom and bringing more friends!

  • Our host met us when we arrived and helped me with the door code. He also gave us a brief history of the house and the neighborhood. He suggested some places to eat, and advised us about transportation. His help was refreshing and to the point. We enjoyed meeting him and felt very welcome.

We loved the light and feel of the house! The bathrooms were beautiful, the upstairs porch was a treat, and all the beds were very comfortable. We were glad of the washer/dryer and iron and ironing board.

One upstairs bathroom was missing a trash can. A large bowl for fruit and a tray to carry treats to the porches would be handy. I had brought a coffee thermos. I missed not having any reading material in the house.

Called 911, police came but couldn’t reach owner. Alarm quit about 10:30 p.m. Loud conversation again around 2 a.m. in neighborhood. Third night – perfect – good night’s sleep. Even so – I would recommend this house for a place to stay in Charleston. It was clean, loved the fan in the upstairs front bedroom and loved the new soft sheets.

The amenities listed hair dryers in each full bath. There was only one hair dryer in one bath. Toilet in upstairs front room is rocky. Listed automatic dish washer soap but provided only one packet – not a problem, so ran it only once but expected more of a supply. All other amenities were supplied as expected.

  • We had a great stay in Small’s Alley. The carriage house is a 5 to 10 minute walk away from the Kings Street. Downtown you will find great shops, amazing food, and is frequented by college students, coast guard cadets, and serious shoppers. Thanks Mark!

    I love Wildflour Bakery! Yum!

Mark, Do you think it would be wise to tell visitors, that If they stop into one of six Charleston Visitor Centers, they will be encouraged to sit through a time share presentation in exchange for free vouchers fo carriage rides & plantation passess? It was an adventure.

    April 2015

  • The area we stayed was perfect, lots of places to eat and within walking distance to everywhere we went. The place was charming and perfect for a weekend get away. Was quaint and hidden back behind some houses which was perfect because we felt secluded and didn’t hear street noise. Loved the self check in and out.

  • Smalls Alley was a very good experience. You get the flavor of old Charleston from a comfortable setting. The apartment was well equipped and located near restaurants, stores and sites of the old city. The beds are very comfortable and parking was handy. We met Mark who was welcoming. He and others are putting work into Spring St to make it another cool spot in the city.

    April 2015

  • The unit was extremely clean and quiet. Very cute located off the street. Close to downtown and other attractions. Mark was very attentive and a solid host. If I find myself in Charleston again, I will surely stay in one of Mark’s units. Very pretty street, well kept. Excellent service and experience!

    April 2015

  • Cute little cottage right behind the best bakery in town. A short walk takes you to Fuel for pork tacos or Hominy Grill for dinner. Tidy and pleasant. Quiet. Walk a block and take the free trolley downtown. Or drive two blocks to get on the highway to Savannah or visit a plantation or two. A winner! thanks, Mark, for creating a terrific space for guests. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

    April 2015

  • This clean and comfortable rental has a great location, but several details–including WiFi reliability–didn’t live up to our expectations. The apartment is steps away from several excellent restaurants. Free parking is a plus, although we ended up walking almost everywhere. But there was basically no WiFi available because the signal from all available routers was terribly weak. The stopper in the bathroom sink was also broken, forcing us to manually lift it to get the sink to drain. Mark was out of town and unable to address either issue.

    April 2015

  • Great find for us in a great up and coming neighborhood. Unit had everything we needed and Mark was readily available to resolve minor issues. Easy walking distance to the best of King street shopping and dining. Discovered some great new spots around the neighborhood, nice change from the usual touristy downtown.

    April 2015

  • The cottage was as-described, and the small porch off the entrance was a real treat for enjoying the weather. There was plenty of storage in both the main room and the bathroom. The small size was perfect for keeping us organized and eager to explore. Never noticed any noise from other renters. The location was perfect for experiencing all of King Street’s shopping and dining options, with only a short cab ride between us and the waterfront. I would happily stay here again!

    April 2015

  • Awesome location in a walkable, quiet, locals-only neighborhood. The apartment is old but updated and was very clean and had everything we needed. Mark is easily available by phone or email at all times and responds quickly if you need anything at all. We can’t wait to be back!

  • Location, location, location. My family and I loved the location in what appears to be an up and coming Charleston neighborhood that is primarily residential but with lots of great restaurants, bakeries, etc. Very easy access to the heart of the “tourist district” too, via free trolley or walking. The apartment was comfortable and clean, and Mark made us feel welcome. Thanks!

    April 2015

  • Super cute cottage!! Very tight space but perfect for a weekend trip. Really nice patio!

    March 2015

  • Great location and super comfortable! Really convenient with the door codes so we never had to worry about keys! It was awesome to have a bakery right next door too.

    March 2015

  • This apartment was exactly what we were looking for during our stay in Charleston. The apartment was very clean and perfectly located. A bunch of cool bars and restaurants were near by. Mark made us feel very welcome and was extremely responsive to any questions or requests we had. Overall we had a great time and would absolutely recommend Mark / this apartment to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Charleston.

    March 2015

  • Enjoyed staying at this little cottage. Was perfect for us as we were always out in Charleston with family. Wild Flower Bakery next door made all the difference as we headed out the door for a tour. Great off street parking made thing much easier as well. I had trouble with the cottage lock but our host was right on it. Thank you and we will be back!

Hey Mark: Thanks for helping with the lock. I wanted to also tell you that the bulb is out on the light outside the door and the tv remote batteries might be dead – it wasn’t working. Please let me know when you get moving on your building project. We might be interested in one of the houses. Thanks again! Sara Wacker

My only suggestions are these: 1. List the bed as a double instead of a “real” bed. I missed that and the bed looked like a queen in the photo. If I had known it was a double we would have rented another one of your places. 2. Bathroom needs a bath mat for the shower.

    March 2015

  • The apartment was as described and the neighborhood/location are great.

    March 2015

  • Mark was a great host and communicated promptly with us regarding check-in. The apartment is great — a true “slice of Charleston” and had everything as stated in the description. Elliotborough is one of the trendier neighborhoods in Charleston and is within easy walking distance of some of the best restaurants in the city, the College of Charleston, King Street, and historic points further south. I would HIGHLY recommend Wild Flour, the small bakery two doors down from the unit. Overall a fantastic stay!

    March 2015

  • The listing description was accurate and walking distance to lots of restaurants. The host was very responsive over email, but not intrusive. The parking was easy, the access was easy. There was no drama.

The location was great and the place was very cute. The size was perfect for us.

I don’t think there’s anything that could improve. We had a great experience.

    February 2015

  • Great space in an ideal place, host friendly and accommodating.

    January 2015

  • Stayed here over the New Year with my girlfriend and it was great! There are some good restaurants in the immediate vicinity (Hominy Grill, Cannon Green, Five Loaves Cafe, Suger Bakeshop, D’Allesandro’s Pizza). King Street is just around the corner which has lots of dining, bars, and shops. Perfect cozy spot that’s off the beaten path but still accessible to all that Charleston has to offer!

    January 2015

  • This is the perfect little cottage for someone visiting Charleston solo or a couple! The location is amazing – just a block off King Street (the more quiet end of King Street so you won’t be completely in the thick of it, but close enough to get everywhere downtown on foot). Mark was super responsive and the check in/out process could not have been easier. The unit was clean and comfortable. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Charleston….which hopefully won’t be more than a few months away because I just adore the city!

    December 2014

  • The Cannonborough Cottage was awesome, and a great first AirBnB experience! Mark made sure we had all the information we needed about getting into the cottage well before our trip. The place itself was exactly what we hoped for (it’s small, but we knew that by the photos, and we weren’t planning on spending a lot of time in there) and the bed is super comfortable. It’s about a mile (or less) walk to most of what we wanted to see while we were in Charleston, but not directly on the busiest streets so we were able to enjoy some of the slower, quieter neighborhood streets on our walk home. If you stay here, make sure to get a treat from WildFlower Pastry– it’s right next door and delicious!

    December 2014

  • We rented two units to host our family. Overall we had 6 adults and 2 children staying. It was a great experience. The units were as advertised. They are in a great location. Several great restaurants within walking distance. More restaurants a short trolley ride away. Would highly recommend staying here.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Mark’s apartment. The house was centrally located, clean, and suited my family of 5 adults well. We initially had trouble getting the heater to work, but Mark responded in a timely fashion and it was taken care of quickly. A good experience overall.

    December 2014

  • Mark was not in the area when we were there but left great information for us about getting in/out of the home. The neighborhood is up and coming and was in walking distance to King St

    December 2014

  • Great experience at this Airbnb. Clean and perfect location!

    November 2014

  • Marks house is in a fantastic location in SC. We loved this cute little house. It was very clean and well maintained. The bedrooms are very spacious & the kitchen and sitting rooms are well equipped. Mark communicated well with us in advance of our arrival and access to the house was stress free. I would recommend this house to people visiting SC, it is in a great location to check out this cool city. The only draw back is the shared bathroom. We were four people & a 2nd bathroom would have been more convenient!

    November 2014

  • I received a detailed email prior to arrival, and everything was as described. The code for the unit worked, and the room was clean and very comfortable. Having my own little apartment/house made the stay all the more enjoyable!

    November 2014

  • Mark was a gracious host. The apartment was clean and well kept. There was plenty of space for two couples and two babies. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this listing to anybody looking for a nice size 2 bedroom apartment in Historic Charleston.

    November 2014

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in Charleston. Mark was very gracious and extremely accommodating. The studio was clean and fit our needs perfectly. We would certainly recommend this location to friends.

    November 2014

  • We found the carriage house to be very comfortable and more than enough space for the three of us. It was pretty much just as we expected from the description. Loved the location–did have a bit of trouble locating it at first, as the unit is kind of secluded, but once we did found it were very happy to have the off street parking and easy access in and out. Thought about taking the trolley downtown, but ended up walking back and forth. Also found a couple of good places to eat within a couple of blocks. Thanks to Mark for making our first Airbnb experience a good one. We’ll definitely look into it for future travels.

    October 2014

  • The carriage house was perfect for our short stay in Charleston. It is within easy reach of all that is going on downtown. While we did not meet Mark, the check in and check out process was very straight forward. Mark was easily contactable. The house is clean and comfortable. Nice little bakery next door. Free trolley service goes down town for those who prefer not to walk. I would definitely stay here again.

    October 2014

  • We stayed at the Victorian Manor on Spring Street. It was large and comfortable and had everything we needed, plus the best bakery ever was just steps away (do not miss the donut muffins!). Mark was extremely responsive and very helpful before and during our stay. This is not at all a run-down old house – the upstairs bathroom is huge and modern, the kitchen’s appliances were in great shape, and everything was super clean. The only warning (and this is in no way Mark’s responsibility or fault) is that this is a college town and there are lots of very loud college kids nearby who stay up very late.

    October 2014

  • Best AirBNB experience I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect and as stated. Check out the bubble tea shop a block away, it’s delicious.

    October 2014

  • We stayed at Cannonborough Cottage for 3 nights in October – great time of year to be in Charleston. The cottage is on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the neighborhood – lots of new and interesting restaurants right around the corner, and still close to King street and the battery. The parking in the back made it very convenient. Overall, great for a weekend getaway and getting to know Charleston better.

    October 2014

  • The place was beautiful, comfortable, and close to everything in the downtown area. It was a wonderful stay and comfortably held all 7 of us. Definitely recommended!

    October 2014

  • Everything at Mark’s home was perfect! Clean and as described/pictured. It was the perfect amount of space we needed for our short and last minute stay. Although Mark was out of town during our impromptu trip he made himself readily and quickly available after we made our request for the room by email. And, due to his detailed instructions both via email and in the room we had no problems with anything during our stay. I love the key code entryway as it provided a quick and easy access to the room. Also, less to carry around and worry about losing during our travels! This location is great if you want to be able to walk anywhere or take the free trolly downtown and around the neighborhood. There is a super CUTE and awesomely staffed mini-bar right down the street called Elliotborogh Mini Bar where we got drinks before dinner a couple of nights during our stay. Plenty of great restaurants all around this area and easily walkable. We will be sure to come back!

    October 2014

  • Mr mark was a excelled guest hi send me picture of him enjoy the sun and the beach glad to have you Mark

    October 2014

  • Mark was very kind host. He and his son manage several properties and rent them out.. No one lives in the cottage full-time. We arrived a bit before our 3pm check-in time, and he let us go to the cottage a half hour early since it was ready. The room is small but comfortable. We are pretty small people, so it worked fine. I could see how it might be a little small for larger/taller people. The location is great, especially if you’re going to be spending time on Upper King Street. We got coffee from Wildflour Bakery every morning and sat outside. It’s an AC unit (not central air), so something to consider if it’s the hot summer months! Lastly, recommend Hominy Grill and Two Boroughs Larder for lunch/brunching in the neighborhood!

    October 2014

  • We loved the neighborhood! The food was amazing, and the locals were welcoming. The unit had info I. Sightseeing and was well appointed.

    October 2014

  • The Smalls Alley carriage house was great! Mark was a very responsive host and the location can’t be beat. Walking distance to King St, around the corner from Wildflour Bakery and easy off street parking included. It’s a gem! Would highly recommend this as an affordable rental during your stay in Charleston. Only negative was one of the beds upstairs. Bedroom on the left could use a new mattress and bedframe. Very loud creaking (we thought it might break at any moment) and sinking in the middle of the mattress. Certainly nothing that ruined our stay, but worth a mention for the host and potential guests. Overall, great spot!

    October 2014

  • We had a great stay at 65 Spring Street. It was easy to find, well equipped and a good base from which to explore Charleston. The off street parking was handy too. It was within walking distance of the bars and restaurants on King St and all the main tourist sites. We also loved the local neighbourhood with cool independent places such as the Hominey Grill and the Fuel bar both just a block or two down the road.

    September 2014

  • Mark was very quick to respond to my request and he was always quick to answer my questions. The house is very cute and was very clean. My friends loved it and were very complimentive on my choice of places to stay. We walked everywhere in Charleston and this house was located just right on the edge of downtown. It is a sweet place to chill out after a day of walking in Charleston and we hung out at the kitchen table and were pleased with the bedrooms. We would stay here again.

    September 2014

  • The apartment was just as it appears in the photos – bright, clean, well kept. Mark was a great host. He gave me all of the information I needed in advance of my arrival and was available throughout my stay, when I needed his help (the smoke detector needed a new battery – nothing big). I was visiting my sister at CofC and the location was perfect – An easy walk to campus and lots of restaurants, bars, and shopping. I had heard that this was right near where all the CofC kids party so I was kind of worried about it being loud at night, but it never was.

    September 2014

  • Great place to stay for a long weekend in Charleston! We easily walked everywhere from the cottage. Mark sent a super helpful guidebook as this was our first time in Charleston. The room was perfect for the two of us – highly recommend!

    September 2014

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Mark’s apartment in Charleston. It was comfortable and clean. We liked the neighborhood which is peaceful but with plenty of good cafes, bakeries, bars and restaurants within walking distance. It’s a short (free) trolley ride to downtown and a 25 minute drive to the beach. A great place from which to explore Charleston.

    September 2014

  • The cottage was friendly and warm; upon arrival, everything was clean and all promised supplies were provided. The location is perfect for those interested in upper king, and the included parking made traveling to lower king a breeze. As other reviews mention – the cottage is small and the bathroom is smaller. We had a minor problem with a cock roach which was quickly resolved by Mark.

    September 2014

  • We stayed in 79a Spring street and the location was optimal for easy access to local restaurants and downtown attractions. The house itself was cozy and in good condition. I do not recommend this house to bachelor/bachelorette parties, lively social groups or families with children as there is little tolerence for disorder, spills or clutter.

    September 2014

  • Mark was really easy to work with and very welcoming. There was a slight mix up with our booking but he resolved it quickly and our stay was great! We used to live in Charleston and staying here made it feel like home again.

    September 2014

  • Mark’s apartment is a great place to stay when visiting Charleston. It’s on the northern end of the peninsula so it’s a touch far from the main touristy areas like broad street or the French quarter but right off of King street which has some amazing restaurants, bars, and shops. The place itself has all your basic necessities and is clean. The AC unit is good and the bed is pretty comfortable. The internet is a bit spotty but not a big deal. The check in and check out are all automated so it’s very easy to get in and out. It’s more like a hotel experience and not like staying with a host, which was great for us because we were visiting friends and didn’t need much local guidance. Mark is easy to reach and we really enjoyed our stay.

    September 2014

  • Very easy access, great comfortable little apartment with everything we needed. Location was ideal, lots of good restaurants nearby.

    September 2014

  • My family and I had a wonderful stay in this house. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The location was around the corner from the free trolly, about a 25 minute walk to the City Market in Historic Charleston, and within minutes of some very good restaurants and bars! The self check-in was very easy, and Mark was very responsive via e-mail when we had questions. We would all stay here again!

    August 2014

  • Great place to stay. Short walk to King Street. Had a great time!

    August 2014

  • Very cute room though quite small. The bathroom was really well done but the sink was so small you could barely use it to wash your face. The outdoor space is great but it was so hot and humid we couldn’t really use it. That said it’s a great location with a parking spot within walking distance of Upper King so we would stay there again. It’s well decorated as well so not a bad place…

    July 2014

  • We were very pleased with our stay at Karples garden. Mark was very helpful and just an email away with quick response. The unit was clean and had the basic necessities. No oven in the unit, but who wants or needs to cook in charleston? We liked the location. It was a younger up and coming neighborhood it seemed. We walked to Warehouse down the street a couple times for drinks and brunch. There was also a convenience store around the corner that was handy. We basically walked everywhere from the location -granted they were long walks-which we are okay with. we only got a cab two times which was $10. We were charleston first timers and already want to go back. We would stay here again. THANkYOU!

    July 2014

  • Mark’s place in Charleston was incredible, and extremely convenient. Everyone who stayed with us continuously complemented me on picking such a great place. And the bakery right next door was so good! Stay in any of Mark’s place if you can.

    July 2014

  • Mark was very courteous. In fact Mark upgraded our original place to a larger place he had at no additional charge. The location was great to downtown charleston, to a great a restaurant called homny grits in walking distance. As for our cottage it was quaint and clean, had kitchen, washer and dryer, queen bed, cable and plenty of parking. Would strongly reccomend to anyone lookiing to rent for college or touring downtown. If you learn the cable car system pick up is around corner, you dont have to drive to downtown. Thanks Mark perhaps we can work together again!

    July 2014

  • Very nice staying at 75d – Cannonborough Cottage. Just as described and shown in the photographs, and in a good location (just a little bit outside of the frey of the main streets yet still convenient to everything). Mark was quick to communicate, and check in and check out was simple and easy.

    July 2014

  • My wife and i spent part of our honeymoon at Mark’s place in Charleston. Mark was an excellent host. He responded promptly to our reservation request, and was easy to reach whenever we had questions. He was out of town when we arrived, but he provided easy to follow instructions for check in and access to the unit. We stayed in Unit C, which was perfect for us. The unit was slightly more spacious than the pictures make it appear, and very comfortable and private. The location was within walking distance to many nice restaurants, and provided easy access to all of downtown Charleston. Our dog was along for the trip, and he also approved of the accommodations. We had an excellent time and would recommend without hesitation. We will be back soon!

    July 2014

  • Great experience! Mark was easy to communicate with by email and responded quickly. Karples Garden 65A was clean, comfortable, and fun. The loft-style apartment has new appliances and granite counters. The coded lock system was easy. Everything inside was almost new, and the bed, sheets and pillows were totally comfortable. Wifi and good air-conditioning added to our creature comforts. Since we got there after dark, finding the place was a tad tricky for us the first time, it is actually behind Sweet Olive retail at 65 Spring, but you can also park behind Wild Flour Bakery (just steps away with delicious coffees, quiche and baked goods). Really nice to have free, off-street parking. We liked staying in the Upper King Street neighborhood, which is north of the visitor’s center and College of Charleston. The free trolley route is only a couple short blocks away. The historic neighborhood is undergoing gentrification, so while there are restored homes and new construction, many of the old neighborhood shops and residents remain. Apparently this neighborhood was a busy shopping and residential district up until the 1960s then it began to fall into decay in the 70s, before it began a renaissance about ten years ago. We were happy to find multiple corner grocery stores, and several great bake shops nearby. (There’s even a Buy-Lo not far away.) At first we thought the neighborhood looked a bit run down (but we are talking about wooden historic Charleston buildings here). Yet in no time we felt safe and at home. In fact we got in late the first night, so walked up Spring street to one of the little grocery stores. It was closed and the clerk was outside getting on his bike to ride home. When he heard we were visitors who wanted to buy coffee for the morning, he cheerfully re-opened the store. Mark’s place is just a two blocks from trendy upper King street restaurants, retail and nightspots. We had a week in town, so we made it to The Ordinary (great oyster and seafood), HOM (casual, good food, ping pong table in back, affordable), Sugar Bake Shop (try the pecan chews and blueberry cupcakes), The Grocery (farm to table), Xiao Biscuit (Asian comfort food), Lana’s… Stars has a cool outdoor rooftop deck. Take the Upper King Street Culinary Tour with local guide Giles ($60) to start off your visit. He is full of stories and your stomachs will be happily full afterwards. While we walked around the neighborhood he shared local history, including a visit to one of the oldest Jewish cemeteries in the country. If you are a foodie, there are nine James Beard award winners within about six blocks. We’ll have to go back to try all the other good restaurants. We never made it to the Karples Museum across the street either, but from what I hear, talking to the museum curator is worth a visit. We definitely will want to stay here again when we return to Charleston.

    July 2014

  • Host was excellent. Pointed us to several great restaurants and alerted us to the beach issues that were occurring down on Folly Beach.

    July 2014

  • Very streamlined check-in and a charming house and neighborhood.

    June 2014

  • I had a great stay at Karples Garden. The unit was very clean and was walking distance to everything in downtown Charleston. Self check in and check out was straight forward. I rented a car but never ended up driving anywhere because everything is so close by, but having a parking space off the street and right in front of the unit was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again!

    June 2014

  • Everything about our stay at Karples Garden A was very easy and delightful. This studio apartment is clean and spacious. We never met Mark but he gave clear check in instructions and contact information. It was great to have off-street parking. The location is in the up and coming Spring street and was very walkable to some amazing restaurants, bakeries and bars. The free trolly was very convenient and easy to get downtown – although we also walked it several times also. To note, the trolly has changed their routes several times so only trust the map that you get on the bus!

    June 2014

  • Our stay was awesome! Mark was a great host and very welcoming. The cottage was perfect for 2 people and in a great location and walking distance to all the shops and bars.

    June 2014

  • We had a great experience with Mark. The property was in a trendy and transitioning neighborhood with a bakery like two doors down. I was so impressed that we had off the street parking, but we literally parked and never used the car. It is very walkable to upper King and free Trolley. Our visit highlight was a neighborhood restaurant—Trattoria Lucca (Mark’s recommendation). My friends are big foodies from SF and were impressed.

    June 2014

  • Nice apartment in a fun, though rather noisy, area. Great location to get further downtown and to the beaches very quickly, without much sitting in traffic. Interior was nice, though the oven didn’t work and we noted a lot of small brown “pellets” on the kitchen counter that may have been termite-related? Beds were adequate, but not super comfortable. Off-street parking is also really great when you have to fight for parallel parking or paid lots everywhere else downtown.

    May 2014

  • Host was prompt and helpful in a very matter-of-fact way. Directions were clear and useful, self check-in, check-out proceedures were straightforward. The unit was clean and matched the description. The location was perfect — a quick walk to all the action in Charleston. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay.

    May 2014

  • Mark was very easy to work with, and the place was exactly as described and was perfect for my needs. There’s a great coffee and pastry shop literally right around the corner, and there are tons of restaurants within walking distance. The place is only a few blocks from King St., and once you get on King, that’s where all the restaurants are. Had a great stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

    May 2014

  • Mark was a great host – all the necessary information was provided prior to my trip with a very easy check in and check out. He was also very accommodating when we wanted a later check out on our last day. The house was conveniently located and very cute. Great stay!

    May 2014

  • This little cottage was so quiet and private. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Great restaurants were a short walking or rick shaw ride away. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend to others.

    May 2014

  • First I’d like to say “thank you” to the host for allowing us the chance to stay here and for being so responsive with our reservation. Second, the property was stocked with items needed such as fresh towels, and very comfortable sheets.(see more below) The home is quaint when you first walk in and it’s located in a very very up and coming part of Charleston. Walk down Spring to King St. and within a 10 block walk you could have all the restaurants you need at your fingertips and the bakery just steps down the street is amazing but come early if you’re staying on a weekend as it gets very busy. In terms of the home itself unfortunately it is showing it’s age and in some places wasn’t very clean. The furniture is old, I found a few old pills on the floor that someone previously left behind that were not picked up by the cleaning staff, I went to pull the curtains back covering one of the bedroom windows and it was filled with spiderwebs and at one point I had to kill either a roach or some other bug that was sitting on our bedspread. We were there during a monsoon and the roof leaked, of which I notified one of the owners. All in all it was worth the money compared to the hotels and other options but with a little TLC this could be a nice option. Not sure I’d stay here again otherwise.

    April 2014

  • Great location and very comfortable for it’s size!

    April 2014

  • Great location in Charleston. Short walk to many great restaurants and shopping. The only time we didn’t walk to eat was when it was raining. The room was perfect size for a long weekend with the wife and dog. Minor hiccup upon arrival but Mark was on top of things and got everything squared away.

  • I stayed in Marks apartment for one week and enjoyed it a lot. Very clean and located in a great spot. Just a short walk to great restaurants and bars. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who is looking to have a good time in Charleston SC.

  • Highly recommend! Five stars! We hope to go back again soon!

  • Super cozy, great location (near lots of trendy restaurants on King St), perfect for a long weekend.

    April 2014

  • The loft was gorgeously updated and very comfortable. The size was perfect – not too big and not too small. All the windows made it very bright but the curtains kept it dark when we wanted to sleep in. Opening the windows gave us great cross ventilation. We only stayed a few days, but would definitely come back for an extended stay. The location was nice, and the taco place around the corner was outstanding. The only thing we would want to have improved was the low water pressure. We love Charleston!

  • This little cabin is perfectly situated in an up and coming neighborhood. Many, many fun restaurants, bars and bakeries are within several blocks. The rental is very tiny but we used the garden patio as our living room which only added to the pleasure of our stay. Inside, the space is very nicely done with rich wood floor and woodwork, good artwork and a general sense of good taste. We were a little disappointed with no kitchen space but with several good bakeries and many places to dine, we soon got over that issue. Parking is at a premium and we felt lucky to have a free space in Smalls Alley. The neighborhood was really interesting and historical Charleston is within walking distance. The price seemed a little high but I think Charleston is expensive. Mark is a very nice host, busy all the time but he responds immediately if you have a concern. We were very pleased with our stay.

  • The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    April 2014

  • I highly recommend Mark’s place. Even more charming than we were expecting. Comfortable, cozy, well maintained. We parked the car on arrival and never used it again. Location is a nice walking distance from the historic areas, with the College of Charleston in between, but if you’re not up for walking the free trolley (stops one block away) has you covered. Great restaurants very close by (Hominy Grill, Five Loaves) and Wildflour Pastry (next door) is a delight. Excellent home base for an authentic Charleston experience.

  • My husband and I stayed at Cannonborough Cottage for a few days at the beginning of April, and it was exactly as advertised – clean, quaint, and in a very convenient and quiet area of town. It was great to have our own little yard and patio behind the cottage – which is practically private, save for a side gate that leads to the parking area – and the warm weather allowed us to start every day outside, starting the day slowly with coffee from Wild Flour Pastry, which is in the building next-door (beware, it’s closed on Mondays). The neighborhood seems to be a mix of college students, bohemian professionals, artists, and others, and has some great little bars and restaurants nearby. The Hominy Grill on Rutledge Avenue is a 5 to 10 minute walk away from the cottage, and makes both traditional southern fare (biscuits and gravy) and healthier, modern takes on local sourced cooking, and other spots nearby – like Fuel and Xiao Bo Biscuit, both cleverly built from the remains of old gas stations – offer ethnic cooking with a southern twist. The cottage is also within walking distance to all of the major sights and places in downtown Charleston, but when you get sick of walking all the way down King Street to the Battery (probably about a 40 minute walk) there is a bike shop called Affordabike a few blocks away – on the corner of King Street and Cannon Street – that rents bikes in top-quality condition for $20 per day (they were super nice guys, and accommodating to both tourists and more serious cyclists). Mark was a great host – responsive to emails, accommodating, and he checked in on us to make sure we’d settled in ok. I would definitely rent from him again.

  • Mark was a great host and the cottage was in a perfect location in Charleston. Hotels in Charleston are expensive, not only did the cottage fit our budget, it gave us privacy and the feel of being a local. Just a few blocks from upper King, the cottage is in perfect walking distance of everything and Mark provides a free parking spot if you want to rent a car and explore outside of downtown. The bakery next door is delicious and we spent our early mornings sitting outside the cottage drinking coffee and eating pastries. This was our first time in Charleston and we absolutely loved everything about it. Can’t wait to go back!

    March 2014

  • We had a delightful stay at this property. Everything was immaculately clean and being right next to Wildflower Pastry is the best start to the day. We did have a chance to meet Mark who gave us great local information and quickly handled the one issue we had. The location was good – just a short drive to the downtown historic district.

  • My fiancé and I spent the weekend in this adorable cottage. It’s small, but so very charming and it had everything we needed. Mark, the host, was very nice and easy to get in touch with (he always responded within hours). The location was nice as well. It’s right behind a small bakery that had yummy lattes and bakery items. It is also walking distance to King street where they have lots of restaurants and bars. When you get to King street you need to go south as there is only a highway to the north. We looked into getting a hotel in the heart of the city but were so happy that we didn’t. Our hotel options were a depressing Days Inn that was less expensive than this place and a bunch of Boutique hotels that were uber expensive. For the price and location we are so happy that we ended up in this cottage. There is a parking space included with the cottage. We rented a car from the airport and used it to go outside of Charleston to check out the plantations, Folly Beach, and some other unique areas. I would definitely recommend this adorable cottage to anyone.

    March 2014

  • Mark was a great host, and the apartment was perfect! The location was excellent, right behind a pastry/coffee shop (IMPORTANT!), and close to King Street attractions. Cozy, bright, clean, and conveniently located, I couldn’t ask for more. Recommended!

    March 2014

  • I stayed for three evenings at the cottage and overall it was very good! There were some electrical issues that were resolved while I was staying there. Mark was nice enough to introduce himself to me and ask if everything was to my liking. Worth noting, is that while this location is a studio, there is no kitchen in it. No big deal as there’s amazing food to be had in Charleston. The property is quite and set off a rather busy street. It is in an emerging area of Charleston with its own charm of small boutique shops, a beautiful yoga studio, a great Asian restaurant and more all within a very short walk.

    March 2014

  • Clean, plenty of towels. Close to downtown.

    March 2014

  • Cannonborough Cottage was the perfect destination for a weekend in Charleston. A friend and I booked the location as we were in town for a wedding. It was the perfect size for two people and so convenient to anywhere in downtown Charleston. Historic Smalls Alley was a bit hard to find at first but has so much character. Mark was available by message our entire stay and was so kind in every exchange. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

    February 2014

  • My family of 5 had a very pleasant stay at this property. The house was comfortable and spacious. The beds were very comfortable and warm which was important since it was quite cold when we were in town! The kitchen was clean and well stocked with plates, glassware, etc. It was fun to stay in a place with character and that is an example of typical Charleston architecture. Much better and more relaxing than a hotel stay. The self check-in and check-out was simple. We ran in to Mark upon check-in and he was very friendly and helpful.

    February 2014

  • The Canonborough cottage is very conveniently located. My mother and I shared the space, and although we often stay together in close quarters, we did find the cottage to be a little too tight for our needs. The bathroom is very cute – especially the sink – and the bed comfortable. It may be better in the warmer weather, as it was quite chilly outside when we were there and the little electric heater didn’t quite do it for us. Mark was having some work done on the house next door and this work temporarily interrupted our water for part of our stay, which we managed to work around, but it would’ve been nice to know ahead of time. In addition, we had a bit of a scare late one night when a portion of the power in the cottage ceased to work (the water issue earlier caused concern for us about the subsequent power outage). Despite the late hour, Mark willingly came by to try to correct the situation, and we ended up with partial power for the remainder of our time there. He also brought us some clothes hangers as we requested which, which was very nice. This spot is probably best for one person, and in the warmer months. The water pressure was great and the shower as well. Try the Sweet Radish Bakeshop for tasty, gluten-free goods–it’s just a few blocks away.

    February 2014

  • Great location – easy to walk to great places downtown. Easy access, comfortable, fully functional kitchen. Nice rooms and a great porch on which to gather. Would stay here again.

    February 2014

  • My husband and I rented Cannonborough Cottage for 3 nights over a long weekend. It’s small, but adorable – a small fridge, TV, clean room and bathroom. Please note that it IS small, but if you’re looking for something with southern charm and not just another stark hotel room, this is it. It’s just blocks from King Street and all the action – we didn’t have a car, and it’s totally walkable!

    January 2014

  • Mark was a great host – he was very responsive when there was a mixup with our original reservation and quickly resolved the issue. He was also quick to respond when we contacted him with other questions about our stay. The place was lovely, the bed was comfy, and we had a wonderful stay.

    January 2014

  • A nicely appointed house with a good kitchen and 2 good sized bedrooms. Enjoyed our stay very much and made seeing Charleston with 2 small kids much simpler than staying in a hotel. Owner was helpful and responsive and returned the deposit quickly.

    January 2014

  • My wife and I had a great time in Charleston! We never met Mark but the place was spotless when we arrived and was a really great location. This place is perfect for travelers who want to see the city the way the locals see it. People with children may be a bit put off by the area as it’s not the most clean but my wife and I felt safe the whole time. This location is very closer to upper king which is where all the new bars and restaurants are located. Overall, we can’t recommend this apartment/area enough! We had a fantastic time.

    January 2014

  • Really enjoyed our stay at this little cottage. It’s decorated very nicely and was small but very comfortable. Cottage was very clean, and bed was very comfortable. Cottage is less than a 10 minute walk to some cool restaurants/bars and upper King St and the surrounding area and a 30 minute, pleasant walk to the historic downtown area. You can’t stay this cheap at a hotel downtown, so we found this to be a really great compromise!

    January 2014

  • Great location, great little unit for the price. Had everything we needed and walking distance to all the action. It was cozy, clean and met all of our needs. Would definitely stay here again if in Charleston and recommend for anyone planning a weekend trip. Would say that if you planned to be there longer, you may want to find something a bit more spacious.

    December 2013

  • We had a great time at 71 Charleston – a beautiful historic building, well restored and furnished. The location was great – all of the interesting restaurants and bars we wanted to go to were in this up and coming neighborhood, and we got the free trolley bus or walked to downtown Charleston. We also rented bikes from Affordabike nearby and cycled around Charleston. Marc was very responsive, and came around with more pots and pans on Christmas Eve so we could cook a big Christmas dinner. (The kitchen had the basics but was short on pots and serving bowls.) There was a nice dining room and table for 6 as well as a good sized living room, 2 bathrooms and it actually had 4 bedrooms ( an extra small one off one of the attic bedrooms). The beds were comfortable and had very nice linens and pillows. There was a nice typical porch with outdoor furniture, although it was a little cold to use during our visit. The heat in the house worked well, and there was parking behind. We would definitely recommend this place for a Charleston visit, and imagine Marc’s other places next door are similarly charming.

    December 2013

  • very convenient and safe location about a block from N King Street–3 mile walk to the Battery so its perfect for strolling to all the restaurants and shopping. But, absolute gem of an Itsalian restaurant is only a block from the property–Trattotoria Luca–the property is across the drive from a great little bakery–very easy–very professional–Mark gave us the lay of the land and we wenty from there–this is not the Marriott–it is a 100 year (or more) Charleston townhome–with old floors, plaster, etc–parking is extremely convenient as is Piggly Wiggly 3 blocks away

  • The apartment was well-laid out and quaint; however, it did not correspond with the pictures paired with it. There was no kitchen/kitchenette, only a mini-fridge, nor was there a couch. For what is is, a 1-room rehabbed shed, it’s very nice. Simply not what I was expecting. It is not the exterior that is pictured, but a space further back in the yard.

  • Mark was a very pleasant excellent client. Clean thoughtful quiet considerate.
